Mad Rush

Rush was born and raised in a small town in Germany, close to the dutch border. After his father transferred between several government jobs, they finally settled in Nuremberg. Rush comes from a very multi-cultural family. He received influences from the german, dutch, iranian and american culture throughout his life, which eventually made him a very open minded person.

Growing up, he was confronted with soul, jazz and pop music, because that’s what his parents listened to. Rush first got in touch with the hip hop movement in 1989. After his parents got divorced, his mother decided to stay in Nuremberg. He soon started hanging around the local U.S. military bases.

Where he soon joined a group of young emcees (the 1-Luv Fam), plus created his first formation called Weapon X. But life as a teenager in such an environment often leads to confrontation with the authorities. Eventhough he lost his partner “Stonyman” in 1997, Rush refused to stop, he kept on rhyming and pursuing his dream. He is now a part of the cypher “Noo Age” and of course the second half of NATO.
